Tell us a little bit about this petWe adopted Gus 11 years ago as a puppy and at the time we all thought he would grow to 80 pounds or so, assuming he was a mix of a German Shepard and a Husky. Well it turns out that he is just about 35 pounds and definitely not very big! I just had to do a dog DNA test to find out what he is. Turns out he is a mix of about 7 breeds, but the one he most resembles is an Icelandic Sheepdog. Which, as it turns out, is an ancestor to the Corgi. He can also do a pretty neat ballerina trick spinning around up on his hind legs for a treat. So what kind of dog is he? I tell folks- he’s just Gus. And we love him!
