Cat's Story (150 words)While at our neighbor's house, we saw a black kitten walk through the yard and into a bush, where some kind strangers had left food and water out for her. Drawn by her infatuating green eyes, we went outside and patiently coaxed her over with pieces of turkey. Once she realized we were harmless, she rubbed all over our ankles and cried to us. We took her home, planning to take her to the humane society the next day, but quickly realized this was a very special cat we couldn't let go. Her loyalty and smarts are like that of a dog; she follows us around the house, excitedly greets us when we get home, plays fetch, and even goes outside on a leash. We are so lucky to be her humans!
