About PhotoIn April I began to have the strongest desire to bring a kitty into my life. I've mostly adopted older cats, but this time I wanted a young companion to grow with from the start. Also, over the years my allergy to the chemical in some cats' saliva had grown worse, so I researched and found that some breeds have less of what I'm sensitive to. After spending the next two months searching countrywide and hitting many roadblocks, I happened to look at the SBACC site and saw an adorable kitten who looked to be Balinese or Siamese, two breeds that would work for me, so I went to meet him but was told the kitten I saw needed to be adopted with a buddy, not what I was looking for. But I applied anyway, and as it turned out, that kitten had a sibling who wasn't originally rescued with the rest of the litter, so he didn't need a buddy! A week later I met my new kitty. Oh my goodness, I'm so blessed with my boy Siam and I've never had any reaction to him other than love!
