Pet's StoryI adopted her when she was 8 from the Sitka Animal Shelter. She is a Malamute, 9.5 years old now. She had knee surgery in early May and recovered well. She has lost 30 lbs since she came to me, and had been in 5 homes in Sitka, 2-3 in Haines in her life. She is 105 lbs and is a gem! She works alongside me when I work as an RN in the local Pioneer Home, and as my emotional support animal, she spends her days with me at work, teaching RN students in Sitka. She loves nothing more than meeting people and making friends. After her knee surgery, I had a friend come babysit one afternoon so I could work and came home to find that I had adopted the Queen of the Dandelions!
