Pet's StoryDouglas is an Eastern Long Neck Turtle that I got for my birthday a year ago.. I picked him out of about 12 other turtles and I picked him out of all the others because he was the one that stopped swimming and looked at me.. it was like he chose me more than I chose him. The night before we brought him home, my fiancé and I were out to dinner trying to think of a name, we googled "uncommon turtle names" and Douglas was first on the list, so it stuck! We also don't even know if Douglas is a he or a she yet.. I decided if he turns out to be a she the name Douglas is here to stay!
