When was your pet adopted?


Pet's Story or Brief BioBernard was at CRCPA for 2 years prior to me adopting him. I saw him on Petfinder in 2020, but was unable to adopt him at the time. 2 years later, I bought my own home and had adopted a German Shepherd. I wanted to find a friend for her, so I went back onto Petfinder. When I saw Bernard in my saved pets available for adoption, I knew it was meant to be. He had a rough life, but I have a soft spot for Rottweilers and knew I would give him the love and care he deserved after everything he went through. I fostered him first to make sure him and my Shepherd got along well, and ended up adopting him. My Shepherd absolutely adored him, and he tried his best to play with her, despite having hip dysplasia and weighing in at 130 lbs. He was a gentle giant to both me and my Shepherd, and loved coming to work with me when I worked at a dog daycare. He loved everybody and was the sweetest soul. I lost him to his cancer battle only a couple months after adopting him. I miss you every day big man!
