Pet's Name Spike

Your pet's story:Spike is one of the greatest dogs ever! Our friendship began a decade ago when he was a stray in the country near DeLand. He roamed our neighborhood for a couple of weeks. I tried to find his family with no luck or a home with friends or family but there were no takers. I was afraid to have animal control pick him up as he is part pit bull and there are so many needing homes. It only took a day for Spike to win my heart and become family. He has the most amazing eyes that look deep into to my soul and is quite a character – jumping on trampolines, climbing out of his kennel and into trees, digging holes, and running off with your things just so you will play with him. Today at twelve years old his spots are fading, knees tremble, a little hard of hearing, eyes are a little dull, and he doesn’t have the energy to chase cats but I am so blessed to have loved and been loved by this amazing dog, my friend Spike.
