Tell us a little bit about your pet:One-and-a-half-year-old Cricket loves to get her protein from quinoa. My other five parakeets--including her parents, Frankie and Nicki--all came from the New York Avenue DC shelter. Despite my discouragement of breeding, Cricket came as a surprise! :) But her parents took turns feeding and looking out for her. Her best friend is Phillip and they swing together. She also enjoys ringing bells and flying around the room with Nickole and Mr. Henry.
