BioAlva Striplin is serving her third term on the Leon County School Board representing District 1 and is the Executive Director of the Stoops Center at FSU College of Law. A former teacher and cross country coach, Alva also served as CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend for six years. She has served on numerous Boards in our community, is a graduate of Leadership Tallahassee Class 34 and currently serves on the Value Adjustment Board. She is the mother of six, an avid runner, and is a living kidney donor having donated a kidney in 2010.
