Allister joined our family when we adopted him from the Northampton County SPCA in May 2003. He was a best friend, confidant, pillow, the one you could always count on to eat your vegetables, and the happiest one in the room. Allister had the biggest heart and an uncanny talent for adapting to the needs of everyone around him. He brought energy to the room when it was needed but also was content to just exist by your side. Allister loved the outdoors and would often run and leap around the yard like a gazelle. He cherished going on hikes, and it was almost impossible to coax him to leave the trail at the end of the hike. During the summer of 2017, Allister's health started to decline. He developed infections in both of his ears, which led to hearing loss. Additional health complications were kept at bay with antibiotics. He got to enjoy one final summer, spending his days on the porch watching over the neighborhood and his nights in his favorite room in the house - the bathroom. When his body stopped responding to treatments, he let us know that it was his time. After just under 16 years of a happy, loving life, Allister Charlie Gotham passed over the rainbow bridge. His impact will never be forgotten.
