Cake Title April Showers Bring Baby Showers

Cake StoryI had shoulder surgery and couldn’t make my nieces baby shower cake. Durning my recover and PT, I entered the cake show. I made this cake I designed for her shower. It was extremely difficult to hold tools in my hand. I could hardly work on it for a hour at a time due to the pain. I still forced myself, fearing I would never be able to bake again. I completed the cake to the best of my ability. It was a triumph! I was so happy I finished. I placed third in my division, which blew me away! Finishing the cake was a huge win for me, but placing, that was the icing on the cake!
