Cake Title Marvel Fun

Cake StoryThis was an icing smiles cake made for a 13yr old boy who had just beat cancer for the 2nd time in his short life. I am a hobby baker and really only felt comfortable making fun cakes, not dream cakes. This was originally entered as a fun cake on accident and when I found out it was a dream cake I tried to back out! I didn’t want to let this amazing boy down with my lack of skills. There were no other bakers available so I agreed to make it. Hulk’s hand was my first ever rice cereal sculpture. It was also the first time I ever made it look like an object was flying off a cake. It’s not perfect but it pushed me way outside my comfort zone and was truly a labor of love. I love the mission of icing smiles and feel honored to be able to bake for these little super heroes Icing Smiles supports!

Your Icing Smiles StoryI became a Sugar Angel in 2018 after reading about Icing Smiles in a Facebook group for cookie decorators. I am far from a professional but I love decorating cakes and cookies for fun. I’ve made both cookie and cake donations in my time as a Sugar Angel.
