Cake Title Chocolate Dream Cake

Cake StoryThis cake was made for a 21st birthday during the pandemic. This was my first boutique chocolate cake and I spent months planning it. This is a divine chocolate cake layered with chocolate mousse and covered in chocolate ganache. I topped the cake with an assortment of fruit and lined the rim with crushed pistachios. Simple cakes like this are nostalgic for me and remind me of family bakeries that I went to as a kid. I would smush my toddler face into the glass case and admire the beauty of all the pastries. I wanted to make a cake that reflected this cherished memory. Each cake has a story, and every bite of this cake brought a warm smile to a face. Just like Icing Smiles.
