Cake Title Kitty Burger

Cake StoryI am a self-taught baker. I started by making birthday cakes for my kids and have improved more and more over the years, branching out to sell cakes for birthdays, graduations, and even weddings! This cake was for my rambunctious middle child, Ezra. He is constantly putting my cake decorating skills to the challenge. Ezra asked for a realistic cheeseburger cake, but I added my own spin to it by making it into a kitty burger cake. Because of his love for animals, he was thrilled. The cake was a french vanilla cake with a chocolate peanut butter no-bake cookie "burger patty," marshmallow fondant, and vanilla buttercream frosting for the outside and the condiments of course.

Your Icing Smiles StoryI have been an administrative volunteer for over 4 years. I learned about Icing Smiles on a show called Sugar Rush, and I signed up to be a blog writer. I was asked to write for the events team instead, and my position has changed and evolved over the years, with me eventually becoming the communications coordinator. Now I mostly work on campaigns while managing the social media team. I absolutely love working with Icing Smiles. It is such an amazing cause, and working with the team has been incredible. You can tell they all care so much about the mission and one another. I have 3 future sugar angels in my house who are hoping and praying that Icing Smiles becomes a household name across the U.S so we can continue serving more kids.
