Cake Title "The Office" No Mo Chemo Dream Cake

Cake StoryThis cake was my very first CTA, for a 7-year-old boy celebrating the end of his years-long chemo treatments. He requested a cake with a theme from his favorite TV show: The Office. The bottom layer and mug are chocolate cake and vanilla buttercream covered in fondant. The middle layer is clear acrylic filled with lemon Jello and a real stapler. The top is a Dundee trophy with a custom message for Jacob, the cake recipient. The bottom layer has The Office logo, as well as the Dunder Mifflin and Froggy 101 logos, all hand made out of fondant. With the exception of the acrylic cake layer, stapler, and trophy, everything else on the cake is edible.

I've been a hobby baker for years, self-taught, inspired by my mother (also an amateur cake decorator when she was my age) and educated by YouTube tutorials. I often make cakes for friends, family, and neighbors when asked, but I found that I really wanted to put my talents to use for good, and Icing Smiles gave me the opportunity to do just that.
