Cake StoryThis was a birthday cake for a client. They sent me a picture of their cat and wanted a more realistic cat cake rather than a cartoon looking cat. This was my very first sculpted cake and very first time using isomalt, that’s what the eyes are made out of. I was nervous to make this cake but I loved how it turned out and more importantly, the birthday girl loved it!!

Your Icing Smiles StoryI am a self taught home baker and my very first cake was 5 years ago. I heard about Icing Smiles, first from a cake decorator on YouTube 4 years ago, and then about 2 years ago my mom told me I should sign up to “bake a difference”. So last year I signed up and a few months later I made my first dream cake. I probably bit off more than I could chew but they loved the cake. It was an incredible and eye opening experience. I hope to have more opportunities in the future!
