What is your pet's story? Tell us about them!Godiva’s story is an interesting one. During the summer of 2018 Godiva was brought to a shelter by her previous owners. She had a mammary tumor, most likely because she was never spayed. She was 6 years old and in good health otherwise. The previous owners told the shelter they couldn’t afford to remove the tumor so they should “destroy her”. Well the shelter and Louie’s Legacy didn’t allow that to happen! A wonderful Vet did the surgery out of the goodness of their heart and removed Godiva’s benign mammary tumor. While she was recovering, my sister took her in as a foster through Louie’s Legacy. Godiva got stronger and healthier! About a month later I decided to offer to doggy sit Godiva while my sister was away. And I fell in love and never gave her back! On September 12th 2018 we became Mommy and Baby thanks to my Sister and Louie’s Legacy! Now at 11 years old Godiva is happy and thriving and I love her more than anything!
