Your pet's story:Hi, I am Kate Riley and this is my life story. But first, I would like to let you know that it's my Papa who is my very special hero. My papa's patience is the reason I live in my wonderful, forever home. I'll tell you how this came about. When my parents decided to adopt a dog, they made the rounds looking at all the available options. They looked at a gaggle of delightful pups, watching them romp and play. My mom thought they were all adorable and it became obvious that she couldn't make a decision. Any one of the pups would do. However, my papa refused to make a snap decision about such an important event. He insisted on taking his own sweet time. And that he did. After 2 hours of watching and evaluating and evaluating, he finally made his decision. "That's her! That's the perfect pup for us." He pointed directly at me. He called me over and scooped me up. Oh, happy day. I had a home. I had a family. Actually, it's my mommy who takes care of all my needs and is happy to do so. It's fairly easy as I am anxious to please and really good at using my eyes to express my feelings and needs. However, I will never forget I owe my great and good fortune of this forever home to my papa, who refused to be rushed and took his time to make this decision. Yes indeed. He chose me.
