Almost 50 years earlier, French singer Véronique Sanson wrote a verse in her 1972 song 'Amoureuse' - "Je ressens la pluie d'une autre planète..." ("I feel the rainfall of another planet"). Once again, the quiet magic of Spring Lake evoked for me that memorable sentiment, most especially because there was no other sound in the air but that of the rain; it really felt as if I had the whole planet to myself. It may have taken 50 years for the muse's moment to find me, but as I always say, "What is a poet, if not a prophet?" Merci, Véronique, and thank you again, Spring Lake and Sonoma County Parks!
