In February I went to Spring Lake in the afternoon after a rainy and cloudy morning. While on the west side of the lake (north of the boat ramp) I saw an Osprey in a tree. I sat waiting for it to take flight for over two hours. While I was waiting, a beautiful American White Pelican drifted peacefully across the water. I took a few photographs of the stunning bird with its striking colorful contrast with the environment. The Osprey never took flight.
