Pet's StoryI adopted Jozi in 2012 from Southern Pines Animal Shelter in Hattiesburg, MS. She was days from euthanasia after no one cared for her for 2.5 weeks. Since then, she’s been the boss of my life. Jozi saw me through grad school far from home, flew with me to Minnesota summers, and ruled the boat on lake trips. She’s lived with me in multiple states and witnessed me get married and have two kids, though she’d prefer it return to just us again. Jozi is 14, spunky, and knows exactly what she wants. If dinner is late, she talks until it arrives. She demands her nightly Kong with a treat—whining or pawing at me until she gets it—and happily soaks up pats and love every chance she gets. She tolerates the kids but would much rather be getting love from me. She makes me laugh every day with her bossy antics and big attitude.
