Pet's StoryDexter was adopted from the GHS in 2002. He is a very independent black & white cat who is as comfortable being outdoors as he is indoors. He has the habit of showing he cares for us by bringing gifts of mice, sometimes neatly laid in a row. He loves to be physically close to his humans and unlike many cats, loves to travel - whether it be by car, boat, plane or train. We take him everywhere we go. He has been on a three-week road trip - as well as taking all day flights with transfers… sort of enters a Zen state on long trips Staying in someone else’s house does not bother him, as long as he has his own litter box. However, don’t even think about putting a leash on him, goes bonkers, literally doing somersaults. At 15 lbs, he is a big-boy. We like to think of him as the Avatar of Catness.
