Rules

We invite you to join the fun by participating in our inaugural photo calendar contest! We hope to channel your enthusiasm in our community to create, enhance and protect the trail opportunities and experiences in the greater Hood River area.  The contest winners will be determined by online voting. 100% of proceeds benefit our trails!

OVERALL

Submit a photo, or several, taken in Gorge area trails. Photos taken during work parties or HRATS events (like last years 'Day of the Dead' Fundraiser) are also most welcome. 

No purchase necessary to enter or win.

The contest is open to legal residents of the US who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. If younger than 18, please get permission from a parent or guardian.

No copyrighted material is allowed.

Participants understand that each photographic entry is subject to the free and unlicensed use by HRATS in the preparation of annual reports, planning material, website pages, handouts and education materials. 

We recommend using images that measure at least 1600x1200 pixels or greater. Please note the calendar will be 12x12 (a square), so landscape photos will need to be cropped. We would very much appreciate if you crop these in advance.

Photos must be submitted within the given time period.

Photos must have captions that include the subject of the image, the location the image was taken, the name of the event (if applicable), and the name of the photographer(s). 

Please do not use any profanity, foul language or offensive gestures. Any inclusion will immediately disqualify you.

We reserve the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

All proceeds from the contest entries will help us enhance and protect the riding, running, and hiking opportunities in the greater Hood River area.

Don’t forget to share (via email or social media) the contest link to friends and family and encourage them to vote for their favorite photo. Use the sharing buttons that appear on your photo pages.
