Rules

Contest starts on 1/1/2022 and ends on 1/31/2022 at 11:59 pm EST. Multiple entries allowed. Entries must be made from a valid email account to qualify. Full rules, eligibility restrictions, odds of winning, prize description and limitations are below. Sponsored by Not One More Vet, Inc.. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. Eligibility

NOMV's Cutest Pet Contest is open to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry (or the age of majority in their state of residence, whichever is older). Employees of Not One More Vet, Inc. as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) are not eligible to win. Void where prohibited (including but not limited to: Colorado, Maryland, Nebraska, North Dakota, Vermont, New Jersey, and Tennessee.

The Contest is sponsored and operated by Not One More Vet, Inc. P.O. Box 426656 San Francisco, CA 94142-6656.

3. Agreement to Official Rules

Participation and entrance in the contest constitutes an entrant's full and unconditional agreement and acceptance to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.

Winning a Prize (as defined herein) is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.

4. Contest Period

The Contest period begins on 1/1/2022. and ends on 1/31/2022 at 11:59 pm EST.

5. Entry

How to Enter

Upload an image of your pet for the fee of $5 per photo
Enter the name of your pet and answer the questions so the world has a description of your pet
Enter your email address
Enter the photo contest

Qualifying entries (each an Entry; and collectively referred to herein as Entries):

Must be associated with a valid email address
Image must be of an animal owned by the person entering the Contest
Image must clearly show animals face (grainy, out of focus, or photos showing only a part of the animal are not qualifying Entries)
Images must only include animals (no people)
Images must be appropriate and not contain anything deemed offensive (appropriateness and offensiveness will be determined by NOMV staff. Please see further details below)

Photograph Guidelines

Photos cannot contain any content providing personally identifiable information about yourself or any third parties, such as last name, address, phone number or any contact information;
Photos cannot contain content portraying or referring to people or characters from movies/shows, video games, etc.;
Photos cannot contain any content in violation of third-party rights including, but not limited to: copyrights, trademark, right of publicity or any other proprietary rights;
Photos cannot contain any content (i) that is libelous, defamatory, disparaging or tortious; (ii) that is pornographic, adult-oriented or sexually-explicit; (iii) portraying or referring to lotteries or gambling; (iv) portraying or including explicit or offensive language; (v) portraying or advocating discrimination; and (vi) portraying or advocating tobacco, alcohol or drugs;
Photos cannot contain content that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, age or any basis protected by federal, state, or local law, ordinance, or regulation; and
Photos cannot contain content that (i) denigrates, disparages or reflects negatively on NOMV, their products or employees, or on any other person, company, product or service, or (ii) is in violation of any law or regulation.

If a photo does not comply with the requirements listed above or includes any of the prohibited elements listed above, the photo will be disqualified, along with the entrant who submitted it. The above list is not intended to be exhaustive; NOMV may disqualify any photo if it contains content that NOMV deems, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate, offensive or obscene in any way or to not be in compliance with these Official Rules.

By submitting a photo, you hereby represent and warrant that: (a) your photo is original and owned by you; (b) you have not included any restricted content in the photo and have not violated any of the requirements listed herein, and; (c) you consent to the submission and the use of the photo.

Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE): email [email protected] with the subject of "Cute Pet Contest Entry" no later than January 20, 2022 at 11:59 pm EST. Your email MUST include all of the following information to be entered into the contest:

Your rules-compliant photo (as an attachment);
Your full name;
Your phone number;
Your state/territory of residence;
And a rules-compliant explanation of "What makes your pet special?"

No more than one (1) entry per week can be submitted via the AMOE. If a photo does not comply with the requirements listed above or includes any of the prohibited elements listed in the Photograph Guidelines, the photo will be disqualified, along with the entrant who submitted it; NOMV may disqualify any photo if it contains content that NOMV deems, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate, offensive or obscene in any way or to not be in compliance with these Official Rules.

6. Voting

Voters must be individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry (or the age of majority in their state of residence, whichever is older). Voters may cast as many votes as they have purchased with a minimum of five (5) votes per purchase. Votes cost $1 per vote. Voters may vote on as many animals as they would like.

7. Winner Selection

The qualified photo with the most votes from registered voters on January 31, 2022 at 11:59 pm EST will win the grand prize and title of NOMV's Cutest Pet. All votes are final. The entries with the second and third most votes will be the runners up and win prizes. If a winner is unwilling/unable to comply with these Official Rules, winner will be disqualified and an alternate may be selected. NOMV is not obligated to notify you if your Entry is disqualified. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received and registered vote/voters.

This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Notification of Winner(s)

The winner(s) will be officially decided after the contest ends on 2/1/2022. We will contact the winner(s) within three (3) days following 2/1/2022, via email and display the winners on the contest page. Upon verification of eligibility and winners' acceptance, NOMV will send prizes to winners' verified email addresses, which may take approximately five (5) to ten (10) days depending on current turnaround times. Notified winners have ninety (90) days to confirm and claim their Prize. Unclaimed Prizes are forfeited.

8. Prizes (each a Prize; and collectively referred to herein as Prizes)

The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable, and not exchangeable for cash, credit or any other item. NOMV reserves the right to substitute a Prize for one of equal or greater value for any reason. All winners shall accept Prizes as they are and subject to any terms and conditions of said Prize. All Prizes will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible Entries are received. Winners shall be solely responsible for any tax liability as a result of receiving a Prize. The winner and 1st and second runners-up will receive a gift card (worth $50 or $25 respectively) to the NOMV Store, be featured on NOMV social media, and receive a digital portrait (worth $50 USD) made from their winning photo entry. The pet with the most votes will also be featured on We Rate Dogs Social media sites.

9. Right to Amend/Cancel

NOMV reserves the right to cancel or amend the Contest and these Official Rules without prior notice in any event deemed to be outside of NOMV's control. Any changes to the Contest will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by NOMV via the contest landing page.

10. Unreceived Entries

No responsibility can be accepted by NOMV for Entries not received for whatever reason.

11. Technical Difficulties

NOMV is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction or error of any kind. If the Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reasons including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, NOMV reserves the right in its sole discretion, without prior notice, to cancel or modify the Contest.

12. Publicity

By participating, each entrant grants NOMV permission to use his/her name, pet name, pet photo, likeness and/or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.

13. Ownership of the Entry

By entering the Contest, you represent and warrant that you are the rightful owner of your photograph and the pet shown in the photograph.

You give a non-exclusive license to the Entries to NOMV for promotional purposes. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned.

By providing your email address, NOMV may email you company updates, announcements and other promotional material. You can unsubscribe at any time.

14. Social Media Release

This Contest is NOT ENDORSED BY FACEBOOK, TWITTER, PINTEREST, INSTAGRAM, or any other social media sites (Social Media Sites): By participating in this Contest, you acknowledge that this Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, or any other social media site/platform and release the aforementioned Social Media Sites from any and all liability arising from or related to this Contest. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to NOMV, not the aforementioned Social Media Sites.

15. Legal

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you also agree to release NOMV and their respective employees, affiliates and agents from any and all liability, loss, damage or injury by or to any person in connection with the Contest. NOMV does not make any representation, warranty or guarantee, express or implied, relating to the Contest or the Prizes.

The Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving affect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions. Any legal claim arising out of the Contest must be brought in state or federal court located in San Francisco County, California. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any Prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.
