Pet's Name
Originally Mosby (for Grey Ghost), changed to GiGi ( for her very feminine and delicate ways! )
Pet's Story
GiGi was living under the deck at my husband's work. She had had babies,+ while she would come up to the deck, all the babies would run quickly whenever they saw a human. His boss named her "Mosby" , after the Grey Ghost of the Confederacy. Once the babies were 6 weeks old, she took off to get them weened. We expected to see her back after a week or two, but she never showed up. Every night my husband +I would drive back to his work, + call her, but to no avail. Approx 6 weeks later, when we were just about to give up, putting out her food and calling her name..suddenly, my husband saw her 2 distinctive ear points showing over the curve in the parking area. We called her name + she came running to us, rubbing all over our legs + purring so loudly and so hard she was drooling! But, WHAT had HAPPENED? She had no claws at all,+ a huge scar on her back, like leather, that ran the entire right side of her body, no fur, from the middle of her back, down to her tail,+ weighed nothing! THAT was IT! I took her home that night, ( babies had already scattered , gone) , took her to the vet next AM. She got TRAPPED in one of the garages, + had been DIGGING her way out, scraping off her skin, fur, no nails, to try to escape! Down to 3.5 lbs.Poor baby! Now 9 lbs, with white fur that grew back in place of the grey, she has been a grateful, loving BEST CAT EVER! So delicate, we named her GiGi. My "teddy bear" at night, goes to bed when we say "bedtime" or call her, running upstairs!
As Top Dog or Cat-in-Chief, my pet would
still be the most loving and beautiful baby kitty that ever was! She is an AMAZING cat, never had one like her before, and I grew up with plenty! She would be a great role model for all other cats of the world, as she is so loving, so gentle ( soft face taps in the am, purrs and head nugs at night) , and so smart as to know her name, know commands, and to know how much she is loved!! She is gorgeous, in spirit, temperament and body!
