Rules

We invite you to join the fun by participating in Southside SPCA’s special Decision 2016 Dogs v. Cats election!  One dog candidate and one cat candidate will be elected as Top Dog and Cat-in-Chief.  Contest winners will be determined by public online voting. 100% of proceeds benefit the homeless, abused, and neglected animals in the 12 rural Southside Virginia counties we serve.

OVERALL

Submit a photo of your dog or cat.

Photos of all dogs and cats are welcome! They don’t need to be rescues.

Each photo submission requires a $5 donation.

The contest is open to legal residents of the US who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. If younger than 18, please get permission from a parent or guardian.

Don’t forget to share (via email or social media) the contest link to friends and family and encourage them to vote for their favorite photo. Use the sharing buttons that appear on your photo pages.

Please do not use any profanity, foul language or offensive gestures. Please do not include any references to the human candidates in the US presidential election.  Any inclusion will immediately disqualify you.

Winners will be announced at 4:00 PM EST on October 16, 2016 at Southside SPCA’s Annual Open House at our shelter in Meherrin, Virginia.  Participants do not need to be present to win.  Winners will be notified by email.

The Southside SPCA reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

Winning photos may be used by Southside SPCA for promotional purposes.

All proceeds from the contest entries and voting will help us provide shelter and care for the homeless animals at Southside SPCA (www.southsidespca.org).
