WMDachtoberFest2021 Top Long Dog

Twelve winning photos from the Long Dog Category will appear in the WMDachtoberFest2021 Long Dog Calendar. Eleven photos from the Long Dog Category will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by WMDF from the top 20 entries with the most votes. One entry, independent of vote count, will also be chosen for inclusion in the top 12 Long Dog photos. Judges will then determine the winning order of the top 12.  So what does this mean?  Any of the top 12 Long Dog photos selected by the judges could get then bragging rights as the WMDachtoberFest Calendar Pup, the Grand Kahuna, and the Top Long Dog of 2021 with his photo on the WMDachtoberFest2021 Long Dog Calendar Cover! 

About the Calendar Contest

Are you one of those Long Dog owners who believe their long and low pup is the absolute best dog in the world, best looking, best personality, best behaved (well maybe not best behaved) but you know what we mean. WMDF is challenging you to prove it! We want to see the absolute best photo of your Long Dogs in our 2021 Calendar. Please note: Photos of dogs in costume will not be accepted.  If you have a great photo of your pup in costume, consider entering it in the Halloweenie Costume Contest.

Celebrate the Long and Low in your life by taking part in the WMDachtoberFest2021 Long Dog Calendar Contest sponsored by Bush Veterinary Neurology Service. Just an FYI, your dog does not have to be a Long Dog to enter, we love Long and Low Wannabes just as much!

Your $5 entry fee includes 5 votes to start off your campaign. Then the race is on…tell your family, your friends, your neighbors, your co-workers and even people you don’t know, all about our contest. Email your photo to everyone in your Contacts and SHARE your photo on social media!  You are your best advocate for earned bragging rights when it's time for the "Winner's Circle" to be announced! Your pup could be on the cover of the WMDachtoberFest 2021 Long Dog Calendar!  Three simples words to victory: SHARE SHARE SHARE!

Support the mission of Washington Metro DachtoberFest Foundation by voting for your favorite pup's photo through #Donate2Vote!  Votes cost $1 each with a minimum purchase of $5.  

The winners of the ‘WMDachtoberFest Top Long Dog’ and “Favorite Long and Low Wannabe” categories will be determined by both popular vote and a panel of judges. WMDF is awarding the top 15 calendar contest winners gifts and prizes totaling more than $1200 in retail value! See “Winner’s Circle and Prizes” for more information.

Every dog has his day! Make sure your dog gets his. Buy a special day for your pup to mark her birthday, his Gotcha Day, your birthday or any other event. For only $10, we’ll put your pup’s photo on any special date in the calendar. You could even buy your furry friend a whole dang week if you were so inclined! Dates are reserved on a first-come first-served basis so don't delay!  We will ask you for an alternate date choice, but will endeavor to provide first choice when ever possible.

We will accept any photo of your dog for Reserve-a-Date, including photos of dogs in costume. You do not have to enter the contest for your dog to have his day!
