BioDr. Rita Smith serves as the Statewide Nursing Director for the Florida Department of Health. Her personal mission is to do everything in her “Wonder Woman power” to treat all people with love and respect while inspiring others to do the same in all tasks, give 100% at all times along with encouragement to others and kind words along the way. Dr. Smith was assigned as a Public Health Liaison at the beginning of the COVID-19 response, working closely with local, state and national partners working tirelessly to ensure effective testing, treatment, and vaccination for all communities in the state of Florida.
