It's time to choose your favorite pet for this year's Albuquerque Journal 2024 Pet Calendar Contest! The first round of voting will determine the finalists for the Pet Calendar Contest.

The top 25 pets will move on to the final round of voting.  

Anyone can vote, and there's no limit on votes cast - so vote early and vote often! Be sure to campaign for your pet on Facebook and Instagram, or call, text and email your friends to vote!

Voting starts on Friday, Sept 20 and lasts until Wednesday, October 23. 

The names and photos of all the pets entered into the contest will appear online here during first round of voting.

For first round of voting: The number of votes will be updated once a week each Sunday in The Sunday Journal and online Friday morning - Friday afternoon on this website.

Each vote for your favorites will cost $1 per vote, with a minimum of 5 votes per transaction. The 5 vote minimum can only apply to one pet at a time.

And best yet, we will share 10% of all voting proceeds with New Mexico Animal Friends to help less fortunate pets in our community.

The names and photos of the top 25 pets will appear online during the final round of voting October 25th - November 15th, The 13 pets with the most votes at the end of final round voting will become the models for our 2025 calendar, published inside The Saturday Journal on December 28, 2024. 

Important Contest Dates:

08/09/2024 -  09/18/2024 = Entries Accepted

09/20/2024 - 10/23/2024 at 6pm = First Round of Voting

10/24/2024 = Top 25 Finalists Announced 

10/25/2024 - 11/15/2024 at 6pm = Final Round of Voting Starting 12pm Friday

12/28/2024 = Calendar publishes and winners are announced
