The 2022 Pet Calendar Contest

The top 25 pets will move on to the final round of voting.

Anyone can vote, and there’s no limit on votes cast – so vote early, and vote often! Be sure to campaign for your pet on Facebook & Instagram, or call, text and email your friends to vote!     

Voting starts on Friday, September 10 and lasts until Wednesday, October 13.

The names and photos of all pets entered into the contest will appear online here during first round of voting.

The number of votes will be updated once a week each Sunday in The Sunday Journal and online Friday morning - afternoon on this website.

Each vote for your favorites will cost $1 per vote, with a minimum of 5 votes per transaction.  The 5 vote minimum can only apply to one pet at a time.

And best yet, we will share 10% of all voting proceeds with Almost Home New Mexico and Animal Protective Association of Socorro to help less fortunate pets in our community. 

The names and photos of the top 25 pets will appear online during the final round of voting October 15th - November 7th, The 13 pets with the most votes at the end of final round voting will become the models for our 2022 calendar, published inside The Sunday Journal on December 26, 2021.

Important Contest Dates:

08/6/2021 -  09/8/2021 = Entries Accepted

09/10/2021 - 10/13/2021 = First Round of Voting

10/14/2021 = Top 25 Finalists Announced 

10/15/2021 - 11/7/2021 = Final Round of Voting Starting 9 am Friday

12/26/2021 = Calendar publishes and winners are announced
