The 2023 Pet Calendar Contest

The top 25 pets from Round 1 have now moved on to the final round of voting. 

Anyone can vote, and there’s no limit on votes cast – so vote early, and vote often! Be sure to campaign for your pet on Facebook & Instagram, or call, text and email your friends to vote!     

Voting starts on Friday, October 7 and lasts until Monday, November 7.

The names and photos of the top 25 pets will appear online here.

The number of votes will be updated once a week each Sunday in The Sunday Journal and online Thursday morning - Friday afternoon on this website.

Each vote for your favorites will cost $2 per vote, with a minimum of 3 votes per transaction.  The 3 vote minimum can only apply to one pet at a time.

And best yet, we will share 10% of all voting proceeds with Animal Protective Association of Socorro and Argos, A Shelter Dog Rescue to help less fortunate pets in our community.                   

The names and photos of the top 25 pets will appear online during the final round of voting October 7th - November 7th, The 13 pets with the most votes at the end of final round voting will become the models for our 2023 calendar, published inside The Saturday Journal on December 24, 2022.

Important Contest Dates:

07/22/2022 -  08/24/2022 = Entries Accepted

08/26/2022 - 10/5/2022 = First Round of Voting

10/6/2022 = Top 25 Finalists Announced 

10/7/2022 - 11/7/2022 = Final Round of Voting Starting 9 am Friday

12/25/2022 = Calendar publishes and winners are announced
