Pet's StoryLeo is a 7 year old long-haired German Shepard, he is smart, sassy, sweet and extremely large. Leo was given up to JAR By his ex family that couldn’t move him to re locate with them. I found Leo on the JAR website around the end of May 2020, he caught my eye immediately. I couldn’t believe how gorgeous this dog was, my first thought was how could someone give him up? What could be wrong with him. I contacted JAR and asked a ton of health questions. The biggest problem at the time was that Leo weighed 120 lbs, he was extremely overweight. My boyfriend and I are very active people and we sought nothing wrong with this scenario. I found a new job and apartment and this boy just sort of fell right into place! I fostered Leo for a week and immediately knew I would keep him. I LOVE how large he is and I just absolutely adore him. We officially adopted Leo on June 5 2020. A few months of having him went by and tons of dieting and exercise and Leo went from a sluggish 7 year old to a 105 lb happy, sloppy, and playful pup. Leo is sassy, sweet, fun, SPOILED, and we are so happy to love this boy. He deserves the world and we give it to him day by day. Leo’s favorite things to do are: go swimming, hiking, play at the park with his football and nap. My boyfriend and I hope to continue to spoil this boy for years to come and watch him thrive. Watching his transformation has been more than incredible for us. We love him so much!
