Pet's Story
Miss Kitty moved to Alaska July 2019 with her human family. Dad is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard and Juneau was their new station. Miss Kitty was a rescue cat who was born and raised in Texas. In Texas, she hated the outdoors with a passion but became a lover of the outdoors upon arrival to Juneau. Miss Kitty began having kidney issues summer of 2019. As the colors and cooler temps of fall drifted into the winter, Miss Kitty’s kidney disease drifted further into a state that was not manageable. She was a good patient and a fighter during her last weeks, as her parents and vets tried different ways to help her. In one of the hardest decisions her parents have ever made, they said goodbye to Miss Kitty on Christmas night 2019, thankful that the vet opened for them late on a holiday to ease Miss Kitty’s pain forever. Miss Kitty was well known on social media and the outpouring of love and condolences was incredible but not surprising. She lived her 13 years to fullest as a sassy, cuddly, hilarious cat. She was well traveled and spent most of years attending College, grad school, and law school with her mom. She left behind her parents and her dog brother, Gary Bark Jr along with many family members who had a special connection with her. She is missed everyday but she’s also a reason for laughter everyday. We believe this calendar would be a special way to honor Miss Kitty and her love of Alaska.
