Furry Faces Photo Contest
It's time for the HSCC Furry Faces 2018 Photo Contest!
Do you think your pet is the most photogenic around? Does your dog strike a pose when she sees the camera? Does your cat smile purrrfectly for a snapshot?
Humane Society of Catawba County (HSCC) is currently accepting photo entries for the 2018 Furry Faces Calendar. A fun way to show off your four-legged family member, all while changing the lives of homeless animals in our community. Participate today!
The top thirteen lucky winners will be featured in the 2018 calendar that will be available for purchase in the fall. Please note that this year we are changing the format of the contest, and the photo you submit will not be used in the final calendar. A professional photo of your pet will be taken and used in final publication. We will offer the winning contestants a photo shoot, and make a final selection from the photos that are taken. Arrangements for location of photo shoot will be made once the contest has concluded. Our hope is that these images will allow for a high quality calendar, with a consistent and professional look. The photo that you submit is for voting purposes only. All winners will receive a framed print of the selected photo as part of their prize packet.
All votes placed…and all dollars raised…will help HSCC change the lives of homeless animals in need. HSCC operates through the generosity and support of individuals in our community. HSCC does not receive any tax dollars, United Way funding, or receive portions of donations made to any national humane organizations. Each year HSCC finds homes for hundreds of rescue animals, provides low cost spay/ neuter and vaccine clinics, offers humane educational programs and so much more. But we can’t do it without you!
So get those cameras ready for when your animal companion strikes that pose. Submit your photo and let the competition begin! Get your family, friends and work colleagues to vote for your entry. There is a minimum $5 donation to enter, and each vote is a $1 donation. All donations are tax-deductible.

To all local businesses in the Unifour area...sponsor one month of our calendar for $250 and receive 10 free calendars to give away to your loyal customers, plus your logo featured on the sponsorship month.
Cover sponsor level is $500.
Prizes: The top thirteen participants to achieve the most votes will receive the following: 2nd Place winner: Will be featured on one month of the HSCC Furry Faces 2018 Calendar. Additional prize include a 4.5’ x 4.5’ color photo tile permanently displayed in the lobby of the HSCC shelter and 5 free copies of the 2018 calendar 3rd Place winner: Will be featured on one month of the HSCC Furry Faces 2018 Calendar.
