DeKalb County's Good Neighbors Award Contest

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN. EMAIL ADDRESS REQUIRED. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS MUST BE ADHERED TO.

Please read our rules thoroughly:

Eligibility: The DeKalb County Good Neighbors Day Award contest is open to legal residents of DeKalb County, Georgia, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is greater, at the time of entry. Employees of the DeKalb County Planning and Sustainability Department, East Memorial Drive Revitalization Foundation, their immediate family members, and individuals living in the same household are not eligible to enter.

Nomination Process: To participate in the contest, individuals must complete the official nomination form available on the contest website. Nominators must provide their name, contact information, and a detailed explanation of why the nominee deserves to be recognized as a Good Neighbor. All nominations must be submitted during the designated nomination period.

Nominee Selection: All nominations will be carefully reviewed and evaluated by a panel of judges appointed by EMDRF. Nominees will be assessed based on the number of votes they receive, the impact of their contributions to the community, their dedication to improving the lives of others, and their embodiment of the values of good neighborliness.

Prizes: The winners of the DeKalb County Good Neighbors Day Award will receive public recognition for their outstanding achievements. Additionally, they will be featured in local media and promotional materials and receive prizes as listed on our Prize page.

Notification and Acceptance: The selected nominees will be notified by email or phone within a reasonable time after the judging process is complete. Nominees must respond to the notification within a specified time period to confirm their acceptance of the award and provide any additional information requested by the organizers.

Publicity Release: By accepting the award, winners grant EMDRF the right to use their names, photographs, and any other relevant information for promotional purposes without further compensation or permission.

General Conditions: EMDRF reserves the right to disqualify any nominee who fails to comply with these contest rules or attempts to manipulate the nomination process. The decision of the judges is final and binding in all matters related to the contest.

Privacy: Any personal information collected during the nomination process will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest and will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.

Release of Liability: By participating in the contest, nominees, and nominators release EMDRF and its affiliated entities from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with their participation in the contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize awarded.

Governing Law: The DeKalb County Good Neighbors Day Award contest is governed by the laws of the state of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
