2021 PAWSitivity Photo Calendar Contest

Guide Dogs of America/Tender Loving Canines (GDA/TLC) invite you to enter our PAWSitivity Photo Contest! Submit your favorite horizontal (landscape-oriented) photo along with something PAWSitive your dog has done for you or others. Most votes per category wins a spot in the GDA/TLC 2021 calendar while helping raise funds for our mission, "Transforming lives through partnerships with service dogs."

How it works? 

There are six different categories for photo entries:

• Working Guide or Service Dogs: Dogs must be wearing their Guide Dogs of America harness or their Tender Loving Canine vest in order to be approved for inclusion in this category.
• Puppies in Training: Puppies must be wearing their GDA/TLC jackets in order to be approved for inclusion in this category.
• Breeder Dogs: Dogs must be GDA/TLC breeders.
• Retired Guide or Service Dogs: Dogs must be GDA/TLC retired guide or service dogs.
• Career Change Dogs: Dogs must be career change dogs from GDA/TLC to be approved for inclusion in this category.* 
• Pet Canine: We welcome any pet dog or puppy of any breed!*

The contest will be open for submissions and voting starting Monday, August 24, 2020 at 8:00 AM, PST through Monday, September 14, 2020 at 9:00 PM, PST. The contest is open to everyone. You can submit as many entries as you want, provided you pay the $10 entry fee for each photo. Winners are determined by number of votes. Votes cost $1 each, and there's no limit on how many times people can vote.

* Please note: photos will not be approved if they feature dogs in vests, coats, or scarves from other service dog schools or organizations.

*In order to be considered for inclusion in the GDA/TLC calendar, a high-resolution horizontal (landscape-oriented) digital file of the winning photo must be to submitted to GDA/TLC at the close of the contest. A high resolution file is 8 megapixels or larger – cell phone photos may not qualify. If for some reason the winning photo does not meet the calendar requirements, GDA/TLC will work with the winner to highlight the photo in another GDA/TLC channel, and/or arrange to use a different photo of the same dog(s) that would meet the criteria.
