Jelly Bean Jump Up Pet Photo Contest

Join in the fun and help support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault who rely on SafeHouse Center for support. 

We spend our lives hoping that our homes will be safe and a happy place for all of our family members, including the furry ones. Unfortunately, in a home where intimate partner violence is occurring, perpetrators frequently take out their violence on things we love, including our beloved pets. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 71% of pet owners entering a domestic violence shelter report that their intimate partner had threatened to injure or kill the family pet(s).

How can I participate and support survivors?

1. Start by submitting a photo of your pet or animal companion (dog, cat, horse, goat, ferret, etc.). Photos of all animals are welcome. Submissions are free!
   
   Note: You are required to create an account to enter the contest. (When creating an account, please check your spam folder for any confirmation emails from [email protected].) When you submit your photo you will be required to provide your pet's name, your name, and your email address. Your phone number and additional information about your pet are optional. Your name and contact information are for internal use only, they will NOT be displayed to the general public. Only your pet's name and any additional information about them that you provide will be publicly displayed.
   
   
2. Share the contest link to friends and family (via email or social media) and encourage them to MAKE A DONATION AND VOTE for their favorite photo. (Yours, of course!) Use the sharing buttons that appear on your photo pages.
   
   
3. Each vote is only a $1 donation. The minimum donation is $5, but voters can donate as much as they'd like. To vote: view the entries, select your favorite, and click the "Donate to Vote" button. You will be asked to provide contact information and then you'll be redirected to a secure site where your payment will be processed by WePay.
