Rules

Who may enter the "KITTY STAR OF CCR" photo contest and fundraiser:

Any individual who has a kitty they love. Kittie's don't have to you yours.  You can enter a family member's kitty, your neighbor's cat, a street kitty, a shelter kitty!  We love ALL kitties!  Keep in mind this is a fundraiser for CCR, so all funds from photo submissions and voting will go towards rescuing more kitties from trees and hopefully expanding our CCR rescue staff to help save more cats!

How to enter:

• Complete the entry form on this site and fill out all relevant details/questions
• You must pay entry fee of $25 per kitty 
• Upload one photo of your pet
• Entry must be submitted by Saturday, December 10

Contest Rules:

• Only one photo per pet will be considered
• Multiple pets in one photo will not be considered
• No people in the photos – pets only!
• No political references, hate speech, inappropriate references in the photo (your photo will not be approved if it contains this)

Photo Suggestions:

• Make sure your pet is in focus and is the focal point of the image.
• If your kitty is doing something extra cute or in costume... we feel like people won't be able to resist voting for you! (but we must stay unbiased, and think kitties are cute just existing)
• Digital images work best

Judging:

• Each photo submitted by the deadline will be judged our followers.
• Anyone can vote by creating an account ($1 per vote with a minimum of 5 votes required). (CCR staff are unable to submit votes)
• This means you should get all of your friends, family and network to vote for your kitty... and those having a great story/profile may receive outside votes! So get creative. 
• Those kitties with the highest number of votes will also win a prize - see the prizes tab for all of the pawesome prizes we have!  We will also give prizes for those kitties who get the most votes and those who get over 500 votes! 

Public Voting:

• Public voting will be conducted between Monday, November 28 & Sunday, December 11

Announcing Winners: 

Winners will be emailed and posted on social media by Tuesday, December 13.  The Kitty Star of CCR may be asked to provide additional images to create the log for our merch campaign.  CCR staff will reach out to the winner to coordinate!  CCR or our partners will be in charge of sending out prizes to winners.  Those who don't receive their prize should contact [email protected].

Permissions: by submitting a photo and descriptive information to enter this contest, you grant us permission to post the image, pet’s name, and your description of your kitty’s special star quality talents on our website and social media. If your pet is a winner, your name and kitty will be included in social media and traditional media posts, as well as your kitty's likeness will be turned into an art piece and digital image that will be featured on and sold as part of a merchandise fundraiser for CCR. Images may be edited to fit in promotional material and/or on posters.
