Cat Welfare 2020 Calendar Contest for photos in the 2021 Cat Welfare Calendar
Be sure your photo is focused and of good quality. If your picture is blurry, then it is not likely to be selected for the calendar.
Generally the larger the JPG file size, the better the quality. To be eligible for a Large photo, you must submit a LANDSCAPE oriented print quality image that is at least 72 DPI with a 1350 X 1800 minimum resolution.
Portrait oriented photos will be cropped.
Photo entries must include a paragraph that tells voters something fun or interesting about the cat in the photo with 150 words or less.
The contest is open to everyone. You can submit as many entries as you want, provided you pay the $10 entry fee for each photo. Photos may be taken from any place or time, but the subject must be a cat. Other animals may be in the photo. Sorry, no humans allowed in the photo. Entry Fee will count towards total votes.
You must own the rights to the photo. Photos that have appeared in CWA's Feline Forum Newsletter or in previous calendars are eligible, provided they have not been published elsewhere.
You, your friends and family can purchase one vote credit for every $1 donated to support CWA. Voters must purchase a minimum of 5 vote credits for a $5 donation. Forward your pet's CWA photo page to your friends and family, and then ask them to donate to vote for your pet!
A panel of judges selected by the Cat Welfare Association will select 13 large photos to be printed in next year's calendar as the winning photos from the top 20 as well as 3 photos chosen from all entries. The CWA judge's decisions are final.
