Welcome to The Inaugural Harrybrooke Park Photo Contest!

Who We Are

Harrybrooke Park is a 48 acre nonprofit park located in New Milford, CT. The park originated in 1966 after the passing of Frank and Elizabeth Harden, the property's original owners. Upon their passing they gifted the park in its entirety to the "people of New Milford". Our mission is to provide a safe park for the benefit, health, recreation, and pleasure for the residents of the town of New Milford and surrounding communities. We are open 365 days a year at no cost to visitors.

Why We Fundraise

As a 501c3 nonprofit we rely heavily on donations and fundraising events to maintain our facilities and receive no Federal, State, or Municipal funding. The structures on property are over 80 years old with tremendous upkeep.  With a small staff of only three paid employees, the park survives on over 10,000 hours of volunteer work annually. In order to provide a safe and clean facility, it requires the dollars that we make tireless efforts to collect and frugally expense. Which is why we have chosen to run a photo contest! All who visit our park enjoy in its natural beauty and various terrain and views. With a winding river, gated garden, pine trees that reach the sky, and wildlife in every corner, there is an abundance of photo opportunities. Whether a park regular or a 1st time visitor, we invite you to part take in our photo contest! 

When Does it start?

Photo submissions start on April 1st, as does voting. So make sure to submit your photo's and share with everyone you know and encourage them to vote for you!

How long will the contest run?

Submissions and voting will run through April 2025. We will extend voting by another couple weeks and declare a winner on May 14th.

What Can I submit?

All photos should be taken within the park. They do not need to be photos from April of 2025, meaning if you have a picture taken within the park from a couple years ago, and would like to submit it, you're more than welcome.
