With the challenges North Carolinians are facing due to Hurricane Florence, we have decided to postpone our planned event – Denim, Boots & Brushes, which was scheduled to take place at The Fair Barn on October 12. Our “My America” contest will conclude with online voting on October 8th and prizes will be awarded based on this voting and the evaluation of an independent judge who will view all entries in person. Winners will be announced online on October 15th.
We are in the planning stages for an open house to be held in early December where all contest entries will be displayed and available for sale. We’ll update you via email but please watch our website and Facebook page for details.
In the aftermath of the hurricane, your continued support of our work to help local veterans and their families is more important than ever. We’re working hard to assist a number of local veterans through this difficult time. We sincerely appreciate your support and hope you’ll continue to vote for your favorite “My America.”

Voting and Judging
The winning entries will be determined by a combination of online voting and judge's scoring.
Online voting will start on September 24, 2018 and end on October 8, 2018. Online voting is a key element of the fundraising campaign and artists will be given the ability to easily invite family and friends to vote via email and social media. Voting will require a small donation by each voter and artists are encouraged to promote the event and their artwork.
The final event, Denim Boots and Brushes, scheduled to take place at the Fair Barn, has been postponed.
An open house is being planned for early December.
Contest entries will be offered for sale in a silent auction at this event.
We will update you via email, but watch our website and Facebook page for updates.
