Rules

Below are the official rules for NAMI Howard County’s “Paws for a Cause” Pet Photo Contest. All photo submissions are subject to review by NAMI Howard County staff. If photos violate the rules below, they will not be approved for entry into the contest.

Rules:


  1. Digital photos will be accepted online beginning at noon, 12:00 AM (EST) October 3rd, 2022 until 11:59 PM (EST) November 4th.

  2. Votes are $1 each, with a minimum of 10 votes per transaction. Votes will be accepted from 12:00 AM (EST) October 3rd, 2022 until 11:59 PM (EST) November 10th.

  3. Votes may only be applied to one entry. To vote for additional entries, you must complete additional transactions. (You may only vote for one photo entry per transaction).

  4. Complete the entry form and submit your photo in a JPEG, JPG, PNG, or GIF format. (JPEG/JPG is the preferred form).  All photos must be in focus and of good quality (brightness and contrast). Photo size should be at least 270 pixels by 180 pixels in order to minimize photo distortion online. All submitted photos are subject to review by NAMI Howard County for inappropriate/offensive content (those entries will not be permitted and a refund will not be provided).

  5. Photos may contain one or multiple animals. Photos containing humans will not be accepted.

  6. Photographs may not be edited or altered (other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments).

  7. Photographs may not be embellished with text or art and must not be copyrighted or watermarked.

  8. Photographs must contain an owned, domesticated pet(s).

  9. All submitted photos and information become the property of NAMI Howard County to be used at our discretion for any and all marketing purposes without any compensation.

  10. All donations are non-refundable.  Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page.  All online payments are made through a secure site- both credit and debit card transactions will be accepted.

  11. Entrants/winners must be legal residents of the US at the time of the competition entry. Entrants/winners under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

  12. NAMI Howard County is not responsible for any technical problems or for late, incomplete, stolen, or misdirected entries.

  13. Winners will be notified no later than 5 days after the contest has closed.

 

 

When you enter the Cutest Pet Photo Contest, you warrant that the photograph is original, that you are the sole owner and copyright holder of that photograph, and that you have not granted exclusive rights of that photograph to any other person or entity. You also warrant that the photograph does not invade the right of privacy of any individual; does not infringe any trademark, trade name, trade secret, intellectual property right, or other common law or statutory right; nor does it contain any material that otherwise violates any criminal prohibition or the personal or proprietary rights of any person or entity.
