About the Contest
YWCA Delaware is seeking an original, artist-created design to feature on our 2026 Juneteenth T-shirt. Design submissions are open from March 1, 2026 – April 14, 2026.
Juneteenth is a powerful celebration of freedom, justice, community, and the ongoing journey toward equality. This holiday commemorates the end of slavery and honors the courage of those who survived, resisted, and built families, institutions, and culture foundational to American Life. It reminds us that rights require protection and challenges us to keep learning, ask better questions, and recognize voices long excluded from the “official” story.
We are excited to showcase artwork that reflects the values of Juneteenth through authentic creative expression.
Delaware artists of all ages are encouraged to submit one original design. Designs must be suitable for a general audience and clearly reflect a Juneteenth theme. There is no fee to enter.
The winning design will be selected through public voting and printed on the official 2026 YWCA Delaware Juneteenth T-shirt. The top three designs will be featured on YWCA Delaware’s website, newsletter, and social media platforms and will receive prizes issued in the form of gift cards in the following amounts:
1st Place: $250
2nd Place: $150
3rd Place: $100
100% of proceeds support YWCA Delaware and the more than 8,000 clients we serve statewide each year
