Your Pet's StoryScout had been surviving out of a dumpster. I got a call from someone who knew I rescued dogs at risk! She stated she had been watching this little dog get skinnier and eating out of a dumpster. Now 3 young boys were throwing/pummeling him with rocks. She worried for the safety. I jumped in my car and went to help this poor dog. I found him. He was so afraid of humans but you could see he wanted to trust me. It took 1 1/2 hours but it was worth it. His next stop was the Vet's office. He scanned him but sad to say no micro chip. I then took him home to my pack. All my dogs are senior dogs. He was welcomed unconditionally. My pack really helped this little guy. He was full of energy and into everything. We decided "Scout" was the perfect name for this lil guy! He ran from one place to the next. But he was happy and content. We did go back and put posters up. No one came forward. We also called animal services to tell them he was found. Scout had more energy than my pack.. He needed an active home with a calm pack. We met someone at my church who was looking for a new dog. Scout met and to this day is in love with his pack and new family! He loves his black lab sister who they had adopted from Humane society. Adopt don't buy! You save so many lives..
