The Story Behind Your PaintingI pictured a summer picnic, surrounded by friends, for Memorial Day and thought about different ways to bring in patriotism to the celebration. The flag represents unity and appreciation for those who served or currently serve and it's like they were there to share in the food and drink with us. Centerpieces with flags on a picnic table are a key part of this image in my mind.
