The Story Behind Your Painting
Fourth of July is a painting of a July fourth parade. It emphasizes the sun shining on the firetruck and the flags by blurring the surrounding buildings and the crowd. The painting attempts to show the fire fighters’ pride in displaying the flags and the enthusiasm and love of country on the part of the crowd. The little girl jumping in the foreground and waving her hands is meant to convey excitement and patriotism and lead the viewer’s eye towards the firetruck. The color scheme is intentionally predominantly red, white and blue.
