Your ProfileJudi enjoyed a long successful career as a software engineer and inventor, but a debilitating illness struck in 2015. She became homebound and is also losing her eyesight. Painting has become a means to contribute and bring joy. Judi’s husband Steve, a veteran, has been her source of strength. Judi has participated in juried shows and won art contests. Her paintings hang in venues around the town of Cary, NC. She is a member of the Fine Arts League of Cary. She is thrilled to be able to participate in this wonderful event to honor our veterans.

The Story Behind Your PaintingLook, Daddy’s Coat Fits depicts a little boy proudly dressing up in his father’s uniform. The little boy symbolizes admiration and emulation for his father and the military. He too would like to fight for freedom. I selected Navy dress whites in order to maintain a color scheme that is predominantly red, white and blue, further emphasized by the flag in the background. Fathers in all branches of the service are meant to identify with the concept of a child that idolizes them and appreciates what they do.
